I just got word from @dananLewis that the next Huntsville tweetup will be March 19 at Angel Island Coffee at 6pm.  You can track any discussion about it using the #HSVTweetup tag.

If you have not been to a tweetup before, this is a good place to start.  Angels has free Wifi and good coffee, tea and other drinks.  You can see what happened at that last Angel’s tweetup here.

 Huntsville Tweetup December 30th

I just got back from the tweetup in Huntsville, AL at Angel’s Island Coffee House.  This was a greet meetup with a diverse group.  We had folks from three TV stations, a number of Alabama students or grads, social media experts, PR experts, and I’m not sure who else. Some interesting topics were:

• Adoption of twittter.
• Teaching of social Media at the universities.
• Business use of social media (i.e YAMMER and ESME)
• What businesses or brands should be posting on twitter.
• Dell and Starbucks
• @rdfrench - Auburn PR guy liked by Alabama grads – go figure.

There were other topics too but I’m kind of bias toward the business side and have a short memory  If you want more info, ask one of the folks that were there! They are:

It turns out there are quite a few tweeters in Huntsville, Alabama and I saw a few of them start twittering about a tweetup a couple weeks ago.  I thought I’d post info to my blog and let you know how it goes.

Right now it looks like it will be on December 30th at 6 PM at Angels Island coffee house. They have free wifi and great coffee.  I’ll update this page as I get more information.
